Communications Committee

Connections is managed by the Communications Committee of the Highlands Council. The Communications Committee acts based on a Statement of Purpose & Guidelines, and reserves the right to determine the newspaper’s publication schedule, select articles for publication, edit for content, and determine when an article will be published. The Communications Committee realizes that the exercise of press freedom entails a heavy burden of responsibility. That responsibility includes not only the right to print, but also the right not to print, for the committee recognizes that the reputation of Issaquah Highlands and the opinions of its readers can be shaped, at least in part, by Connections.

The Communications Committee meets monthly, led by the Editor of Connections News. The committee is made up of community stakeholders that include an IHCA staff representative, a YWCA Family Village representative, residents and business owners.
