Poetry Reading: The Bubble Collector

Highlands Council and artEAST are pleased to host artist and author Vikram Madan on Friday, June 12th for a live reading of poems from his book The Bubble Collector.  This family friendly event is FREE and open to everyone.

Seattle-area author Vikram Madan’s debut poetry book is frequently compared to the works of Shel Silverstein for blending funny poems and madcap drawings into a hilarious experience that families, kids, adults and poetry lovers of all ages will enjoy.

Caught a dragon by the tail? Spotted Abominable Snowman footsteps in your front yard? Dread your dad’s cooking? Or just keep putting off that haircut?  Full of everyday and outlandish situations, this varied romp of a collection won a 2013 Moonbeam Award for Children’s Poetry, has been nominated (by invitation) for a 2014 Washington State Book Award, and is loved by readers and reviewers for its humor, diversity of poetic styles, and “for introducing children to the joys of poetry”.
