Central Park Pad #1 Improvements on Schedule

By September 26, 2017September 27th, 2017Development, Development News

Hello!

As project manager for the Central Park Pad #1 improvement project, I thought I would write to you and give you a brief update on the project. We are now in the 14th week of construction, and the project is moving along swimmingly! Work accomplished to date includes: installation of a block retaining wall, creation of the rain garden, field and sub-soil preparation, installation of LED light standards, fence posts, electrical conduit and road widening. The interim parking lot has also received a little attention as we prepare for lighting. Currently, we are installing the concrete curbing around the field, fencing, and the rain garden and turf field drainage systems. The project is on schedule, and is anticipated to be complete in late 2017 (weather pending).

Starting the week of 9/25/17, we will continue with installation of the field drainage system; which includes the gravel drain field (both base and top courses) located below the synthetic turf surface. As anticipated, this work requires large trucks to import the gravel. This work is expected to take roughly three weeks to complete. As we undertake needed work, we provided the contractor with the bell times for Grand Ridge Elementary School in an effort to reduce truck traffic during school drop-off and pick-up times. The contractor is not currently permitted to perform weekend work.

Best regards,

Jennifer Fink
