This Month: Abandoned Vehicles, Solar Panels

The “Ask the IHCA” monthly column appears in the Issaquah Highlands Community Association (IHCA) section of Connections almost every month. The primary purpose of the IHCA is to preserve, maintain, enhance, and protect the value of property and amenities in the community in accordance with the governing documents. Here are a few of the most popular questions asked recently using the “Ask the IHCA” web form.

We’ve had a car parked in front of our house for the last four days. It has not moved, and we have no idea who it belongs to. Who should we notify?

Check with your neighbors first. If you ascertain that the vehicle is actually abandoned, then you can report it to the city of Issaquah, which maintains street parking. Submit a request on the city’s website to report illegally parked or abandoned vehicles.

Can we put solar panels on the rooftop of our home?

Installation of solar panels requires pre-approval from the ARC Committee. Click here for more information on solar panel guidelines.
