Wet-sprayed cellulose increases the R-value (insulating capacity) of 2x6 walls to R-23 vs. R-21, when fiberglass batts are
used. The insulation is sprayed in wet so it fills in and around pipes, wiring and other obstacles to traditional blanket
insulation. It then hardens to stay in place. Voids and air movement in wall cavities are reduced to nil. The fiber content
is made from recycled newspaper, which reduces environmental impact. The binders used are stable so there is no off-gassing.
The result is an environmentally-friendly insulation that keeps the home warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
