Heat Recovery Ventilation:

A hydronic heating system consists of a highly efficient gas, on-demand, tankless water heater that can supply both domestic hot water and heating needs. The hot water is distributed to in-wall fan units (mini-heat exchangers) that heat the rooms. A central control system in major rooms senses when a room needs heat. The mechanical ventilation system that keeps the air fresh, also controls moisture levels, and is designed to transfer 80% of the heat from the air leaving the home to the fresh air coming in. The home is not air-conditioned because super insulation, ventilation and shading will help keep the house comfortable on the few days in Issaquah when air-conditioning might be desirable.
