See where it takes you!
Come join us for an exciting presentation on April 13th on how to travel and volunteer around the world! Meet a renowned speaker, Joyce Major, the author of the award winning book “Smiling at the World” as she discovers the world as a volunteer immersing herself in the culture while covering a wide variety of projects from lion cubs and elephants, to kangaroos and monkeys, from a restoration project to a sustainability sanctuary, from a newspaper reporter to teaching English and more! Major’s passion for helping the planet, her zany sense of humor and gift of storytelling will provide escape and inspiration to travelers to live with passion and explore their place on the earth.
Join us every second Wednesday of every month for a fun, informal night for like-minded, travel-loving neighbors with a focus on travel! Each Travel Club Night will generally include a few different speakers covering an international topic, domestic topic, and travel tips. Speaker presentations are kept short and the bulk of the evening will be unstructured, get-acquainted time so we can all share and learn about travel.
We hope to see you there! Light snacks are provided but feel free to bring a beverage (perhaps a bottle of wine from your favorite country!) to enjoy.
