A group of enthusiastic football fans along with Seattle Seahawk, Grant Wistrom, gathered around plates of hearty food, lots of laughter and a big screen television to enjoy a Monday Night Football party in a brand new home at Harrison Street in Issaquah Highlands designed by Stuart Silk Architects and built by Regency West.
The Monday Night Football Party with Grant Wistrom was donated as part of the $1.9 million raised at the 2006 Children's Hospital Auction of Washington Wine held in August. In addition to the money raised at the auction, a check for $5,000 was presented by Port Blakely Communities to benefit the Grant Wistrom Foundation, which raises money for sick children, in particular those with cancer. Proceeds go towards bettering the lives of pediatric cancer patients through fun and recreational activities.
Grant has teamed with Mike Ghali of Regency West to design an Old English Pub in a Tudor inspired home, designed by Curtis Gelotte Architects, which is now under construction at Harrison Street. Several local notables have joined Port Blakely Communities to create "celebrity rooms" at Harrison Street in an effort to increase awareness of local causes and charities. Chef and restaurantuer, Tom Douglas, teamed up with Ben Leland Construction to create a Tom Douglas Kitchen to benefit Share our Strength. Local Mercedes dealers, Phil Smart and Phil Smart Jr., teamed up with Bender Chaffey Corporation to create the ultimate garage to benefit Children's Hospital and Medical Center.
